Abstract
This study examined and identified the factors affecting farmers’ awareness of climate change and adaptation strategies, with the moderating role of education (Case study: Jiroft County). The statistical population in this research included all farmers in Jiroft County, from which 384 individuals were selected as the sample using Cochran's formula. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire, the reliability of which was confirmed using Cronbach's alpha at 0.87. The results indicated that the effect of adaptation measures, with the moderating role of education, had a significant impact on agricultural awareness. Agricultural sustainability, moderated by education, significantly influenced agricultural awareness. Perceived risk, with the moderating role of education, had a significant effect on agricultural awareness. Sustainable irrigation, moderated by education, also had a significant impact on agricultural awareness. Considering the prominent role of education in this study, conducting training courses for farmers tailored to their education levels and the specific needs of each group can enhance awareness and promote the adoption of adaptation strategies among farmers.
